A spinner tool for trimming items quickly and keeping them exactly where they are supposed to be without applying extra pressure to your work. The spinner is identical on both sides, with a very smooth surface to avoid marking your work.

This is one of the first tools I ever purchased on Etsy when I started doing pottery, a bright orange spinner. It was extremely helpful in securing my work, and giving my right hand somewhere to rest comfortably to provide steady control to my trimming tool. That tool has been often sought after and has spent a lot of time being used by others, with it accidently falling into fellow potters tool boxes a couple of times.

Unfortunately my original tool rusted with time as the internal bearing was not sealed and exposure to clay and water created corrosion on the bearing surfaces, making it quite rough to spin. Other spinners are those from aliexpress or temu with a bright silver finish. These also suffer a similar fate, and have a much lower grade bearing.

My spinner tool is sealed using a sealed bearing and self purging internal design with long life food-safe silicon grease. Water is not able able to contact the bearing. This improves the life expectancy of the spinner from years to decades. The bearing itself is placed evenly inside the spinner to allow the weight to sit balanced and allow easier handling.

All of my tools are made with the best environmental practice in mind. This spinner is made from bioplastic that can be recycled in a commercial composter. This plastic is durable, and ethically sound.
